How it works
Method
Ratings are factored into film embeddings, then projected to 2D so similar films cluster together.
Data
Public research ratings data from GroupLens.
Model
Matrix factorization for the embeddings and UMAP for the layout.
Build
Pre-computed layout served as a static file, explored with pan, zoom and search.
