How it works
Method
Catalogue positions and distances are converted to 3D coordinates; each star's colour comes from its colour index.
Data
A combined star catalogue built from the Hipparcos, Yale Bright Star and Gliese catalogues.
Model
No learned model: colour-index to temperature conversion and distance from parallax.
Build
WebGL point cloud with level-of-detail loading and keyboard flight controls.
